Before some wounds can heal, they must first be seen.

That line ended up on the back cover, but it started as the question I couldn't stop asking while I wrote this book: what happens when someone finally sees you — all of you, including the parts you've spent your whole life hiding?

That question became Stitched in Red.

Karza and Timothy

The story follows two college dorm roommates who shouldn't have much in common. Karza is a punk-rock mechanic carrying a past she's never told anyone. Timothy is an empath — someone who can read a person's heart through nothing more than direct eye contact, a gift born out of his own childhood of abandonment and foster care.

What they find in each other is the first safe place either of them has ever known. Two people who are, in their own words, "two sides of the same coin."

A Story About Being Seen

This book is about connection, resilience, and the people who change us forever — tender, heartbreaking, and ultimately hopeful. It's a reminder that being broken doesn't make you unworthy of love, and that sometimes the people who enter our lives don't save us. They simply teach us that we were worth saving all along.

The Art

You'll notice original illustrations throughout the book — all hand-drawn by me. Storytelling has always meant more to me than just the words on the page, and I wanted readers to be able to see Karza and Timothy's world the way I see it.
