Meet Joshua Morris: Author & Illustrator
Some stories entertain us for a moment. Others remind us that even in our darkest hours, there is still hope.
I write emotionally driven stories that explore love, sacrifice, faith, redemption, and the quiet courage it takes to keep moving forward when life leaves us wounded. My characters are rarely perfect heroes — they're broken people searching for healing, purpose, and connection in a world that often feels overwhelming.
Why I Write What I Write
I believe our greatest strength can also be our greatest vulnerability. That idea sits at the center of everything I write — journeys filled with unforgettable characters, hard-earned hope, and moments that hopefully linger long after the final page has been turned.
Whether my characters are facing monsters that are literal or the kind that live only in memory, I want them to remind us that compassion is not weakness, love is never wasted, and redemption is always worth fighting for.
The Art Behind the Words
Storytelling, for me, doesn't end at the written word. I'm also a passionate artist, and I bring many of my imaginative worlds to life through original artwork featured throughout my books — combining narrative and visual art to pull readers a little deeper into the characters, emotions, and worlds I create.
What's Next
Through Stitched in Red — and the other imaginative worlds I have yet to bring to life — I hope to create more than stories. I hope to create experiences that make readers laugh, cry, reflect, and maybe even see their own struggles through a lens of grace and possibility.
If you've ever felt broken, misunderstood, or uncertain of where you belong: these stories are for you.
Because sometimes the bravest thing we can do is choose to love anyway.
